Report showing books never circulated in destiny

Examine the circulation, age, and value statistics of your collection. With this report, view circulation statistics for the current day, month, and year, or drill down into call number ranges for more specific details.

Accessing the Report

1. Log in to the district or a site.
2. Select Reports > Library Reports.
3. Under Statistics, click one of the following:
   • Collection Statistics - Summary (site)
   • District Collection Statistics by Call Number
   • District Collection Statistics by Library

Collection Statistics - Summary and District Collection Statistics by Call Number

Use the statistics provided on the sub-tabs of the Collection Statistics - Summary and the District Collection Statistics by Call Number pages for:

• Circulation: Gives an overall look at your collection statistics using a Dewey range. Circulations for today, this month, this year, and total are displayed by Dewey range. You can drill in to each Dewey range to get more detailed information. This report can also be customized at a site.
• Age: Gives an overall age of your collection by Dewey range for copies that have dates within their record. Gives average age of a Dewey range. You can drill into each Dewey range to get more detailed information.
• Value: Gives an overall value of your collection by Dewey range for copies that have prices within their record. The report shows actual value for those copies with prices and creates an estimated value based on an average price for those copies without price information.

District Collection Statistics by Library

• Circulation: Gives an overall look at your circulations statistics by school for today, this month, this year, and total. When you click a school link, you will see the overall circulations by Dewey range for that school.
• Age: Gives an overall age of your collection by school for copies that have dates within their record. When you click a school link, you will see the overall age by Dewey range for that school.
• Value: Gives an overall value of your collection by school for copies that have prices within their record. The report shows actual value for those copies with prices and creates an estimated value based on an average price for those copies without price information. When you click a school link, you will see the overall value by Dewey range for that school.
• Batch: Gives the district user, with the Create District Collections Stats by Library via Batch Request permission, the option to schedule the report to run at off-peak times. To save the schedule based on your selections and overwrite previously scheduled reports, click Save Setup. If on another sub-tab and clicking links to see specific data, the Batch sub-tab disappears. Click the District Collection Statistics by Library breadcrumb, and the Batch sub-tab will reappear.

Custom View at a Site

From the bottom of the Circulation sub-tab, sites can customize the report view. Limit it by call number range(s), timeframe, and/or number of circulations. For example, this setup will run a list of all copies not circulated this year. Use it to:

• Track the circulation of materials in your collection that are being recommended for curriculum-specific projects.
• Identify sections of your collection that need to be weeded, enhanced through additional acquisition, or promoted for better usage of the current resources available.
• Identify the value of your collection for insurance claims or budget requests, such as estimating the cost of replacing or updating a portion of your collection.

Note: The Destiny Administrator must configure when the statistical year starts. This is done in Setup > Sites. Edit the district, and set the Statistical Year Starts In drop-down to the appropriate month.
